Assistant Manager at Escape Family Centre

We currently have a vacancy for a full time Assistant Manager to join our fantastic team. Experience working in a supervisory/managerial position is essential, as is experience dealing with a high volume of customers and working to tight deadlines.

The Assistant Manager’s role is to work within the management team and ensure the efficient and effective running of the facility on a day-to-day basis. Your duties will include managing the team, Health and Safety, cleanliness, purchasing, sales, party bookings, training, customer liaison and time management of the team.

The ideal candidate should be outgoing, friendly and approachable with a desire to succeed in an ever changing environment. You must be flexible, articulate, well presented, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being able to learn quickly and adapt to any situation.

As we’re the new generation of play centres, and Escape is unique in its approach to play, full on-the-job training will be provided to you. As we are open 7-days per week, and due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work at least 1 day at the weekend.


Team Member (Cook)at Escape Family Centre – Fixed Term Contract – 24-34 hours per week

We have a vacancy for a Team Member (Cook) to join our existing team on a fixed term contract until the end of April 2012.

You must have a current Food Hygiene Certificate, and experience working within a similar capacity preparing food and refreshments for public consumption would be an advantage.

The role will include serving customers hot and cold drinks, taking their food orders via our computerised system, and preparation of food for customers within a timely manner. This will be an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging role working in a fun environment. The ideal candidate will be articulate, friendly and approachable, confident and outgoing. Experience of working within a public environment would be an advantage, as would use of a computerised EPOS System, but these not essential, as full training will be provided.


Team Member – Permanent Post – Hours are dependent upon the individual, but will be a minimum of 16, max of 24 hours p/w and will include weekend work.

We have some exciting new positions as Team Members at Escape, Nottingham’s largest indoor soft play centre. You are required to work flexibly and may be required at short notice. You will have a variety of roles and responsibilities to undertake, and you must be able to provide a warm welcome to all our customers and ensure they have a fantastic visit every time. The ideal candidate will be articulate, friendly and approachable, confident and outgoing. Experience of working in a public environment would be advantageous as would use of a computerised EPOS system but not essential. You will be required to work in most areas including Reception, Servery, Go Karts, Waiter/ess.
